The new regulations in the latest legislative decree introduced on 5 February 2022. Swab test points in Piazza Costituzione during events
The legislative decree introduced on 5 February 2022 including the new measures concerning the green passes, allows non-EU citizens in possession of a certificate confirming recovery from Covid or vaccination also with vaccines not authorized or recognized by the European Medical Agency (EMA) to access services and activities that in Italy require a Super Green Pass. Admission to the exhibition centre, participation in events and access to hotels and restaurants will be possible for visitors that undergo a rapid antigen test (valid for 48 hours) or PCR test (valid for 72 hours).
This eagerly expected news is of great importance for BolognaFiere that can now reopen the doors to its exhibition halls to all international guests, exhibitors and buyers, beginning with the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (12-13 April) and Cosmoprof (28 April – 2 May).
“We would like the thank the government for its consideration concerning the campaign that the Italian exhibition centres and the associations that represent them have been waging concerning the question of green corridors,” explained Antonio Bruzzone, General Manager of BolognaFiere and Vice President of AEFI. “The decision to allow those vaccinated with non-EMA approved vaccines to take part in our exhibitions, all the while ensuring the utmost safety standards, will allow the exhibition centres to resume their work driving development, international trade and the success of “Made in Italy” products around the world.”
Soon it will be possible once again to hear many languages spoken in BolognaFiere’s exhibition halls, confirming the organization’s increasingly international credentials. Foreign guests, exhibitors and buyers will be able to undergo swab tests at the testing point set up in Piazza Costituzione during the events.
