President of the Senate, Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, visits BolognaFiere. “One of Italy’s most important exhibition centres”

As part of a two-day tour of Emilia, president of the Senate, Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, visited Bologna on Tuesday 19 November. In the afternoon, she spoke at BolognaFiere and received a welcome from its president Gianpiero Calzolari, the deputy mayor of Bologna Marilena Pillati and the president of the Chamber of Commerce Valerio Veronesi, before going on to meet with representatives of economic and productive sectors from the region.

In her speech the holder of the second-highest office of state emphasized the value of the Bologna Exhibition Centre as “one of Italy’s most important exhibition centres”. Also in attendance were representatives of industries that are of particular relevance at national level, from the ceramics sector to the auto industry, cosmetics to agroindustry, sectors for which Bolognafiere hosts trade fair events that have become reference points worldwide.
