The 87th edition of EXPOCONSTRUCT, due to take place in Rome on 13 and 14 June, this year will involve a focus on the topic of water, a theme very dear to BolognaFiere, organiser for the last 28 years of H2O, http://www.accadueo.com, the biennial international exhibition and trade event for industrial supply chains that add value to water. H2O is the event that gives voice to all operators capable of adding value to the civil, industrial and agricultural spheres that impact the water sector. Its approach considers both the public interest and, at the same time, the construction of a more advanced industrial supply chain capable of boosting the sector also through the evaluation and discussion of global best practices.
The 2018 H2O Report (http://www.accadueo.com/accadueo/rapporto-accadueo-by-cresme/8906.html) compiled by Cresme, revealed how investments in infrastructure – both digital and structural – are important both for water companies and for the construction sector. Within this context, Euroconstruct and Cresme, with the support of H2O, decided to organise as part of the Euroconstruct Conference in Rome, two days (13 and14 June) dedicated to water, water infrastructure and environmental resilience.
The EUROCONSTRUCT conference is an integral part of a series of six-monthly conferences that present the
medium-term scenario for the European construction sector. The 87th edition of the conference was organised by Cresme, Italian partner and founding member of the Euroconstruct network. The conference, in line with the struc-ture adopted by the network over the course of its activities that began in the 1970s, will involve a morning session dedicated to the analysis of the general macroeconomic context and short-term forecasts for the construction sec-tor. The sectorial analysis will be examined in-depth according to territorial areas, with speeches by researchers and national experts from the European network.
The afternoon session will focus on a topic of particular interest, the water market, summarised with the title MAN-AGING WATER AND THE VALUE OF WATER and on Friday 14 June to bring the Euroconstruct event to a close, there will be a conference dedicated entirely to the theme of water.
The water infrastructure and the theme of environmental resilience will be at the centre of a series of speeches and debates that will cover four thematic sections – water and the environment, water and the city, water and the build-ings of the future, water and the water systems of the future, concluding with a round table involving the leading players from the sector.
The themes under discussion will be numerous and wide-ranging: innovation, policies, strategies, problems and so-lutions linked to the water market, the impact of this market on the construction sector, inefficiency in the water dis-tribution networks (both leaks and the quality of water distributed), the topic of droughts and lack of water on one hand and the risks associated with flooding on the other, and the demand for water management systems and strategies and the protection of the territories, new models for the integrated management of the water service, the demand for renewal and new investments for water infrastructure (building and civil engineering) that are feeding demand in the medium term.
H2O has chosen to promote the 87th Euroconstruct Conference to bring to the Rome event some of the content, ex-cellent quality levels and innovation that exhibiting companies have always brought to Bologna, in addition to mate-rials and business tools produced at H2O 2018, such as the H2O Award, the H2O Cresme Report.
