Today on 9 July 2020 BolognaFiere S.p.A’s new Board of Directors convened for the first time. The board’s three-year mandate will conclude with the approval of the Budget for the financial year 2022.

The new Board of Directors during its inaugural sitting assigned the roles and appointments, confirming as president of the Company Gianpiero Calzolari and appointing Celso De Scrilli as vice president.
Among the topics focused on during the speeches at the first sitting of the new three-year mandate were the recommencement in complete safety of trade fair activities (following the hiatus imposed by the Covid-19 emergency) in the coming autumn that will get underway with SANA RESTART, the event dedicated to the sector of organic and natural products, and the possibility of a merger between BolognaFiere and IEG
Referring the latter proposal, the new Board of Directors received a mandate to assess the project to merge the nation’s two leading fair groups, while the owners consider the details concerning the project’s feasibility.
At the conclusion of the meeting President Calzolari thanked the Board for having reappointed him as President of the Company, reiterating the will of the entire organisation to support the challenging work that lies ahead.
