THE 50th EDITION OF COSMOPROF WORLDWIDE BOLOGNA HAS BEEN PRESENTED IN MILAN

Today at Baxter Cinema (Milan) the 50th  edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, the leading international hub for the latest trends in the beauty industry, scheduled from March 17 to 20, 2017, has been presented to the press. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia – The Personal Care Association and with the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and ITA – Italian Trade Agency.

Since its first edition in 1967, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has established its place as mediator between beauty companies and new markets, thanks to its international profile and its reliability, and it is recognized worldwide as the not-to-be-missed event for companies, professionals and distributors of the sector.

“The 50th edition is recording record numbers”, says Franco Boni, President of BolognaFiere Group. ”2.604 exhibiting companies (94 more than 2016) coming from 69 countries in the world. Among the 2017 exhibitors, 73% of them come from foreign countries. The exhibition is growing up to 7%, and there are great expectations on the number of visitors participating, too, with  a +10% of online purchase. Cosmoprof has been recognized by the Italian Ministry of Economic Department as one of Italian trade fairs with the highest international appeal. As a proof, in March there will be 29 Country Pavilions involved in the exhibition, +16% compared to last edition. For the first time ever Argentina, Chile, Japan, Latvia and United Arab Emirates/Dubai will exhibit. We are approaching this important occasion with a glance to the future: BolognaFiere already scheduled the restyling of the fair district, in order to offer visitors more rational and beautiful spaces. Next year we will celebrate the 15th edition of Cosmoprof North America, two years ago we celebrated in Hong Kong the 20th anniversary of Cosmoprof Asia. Thanks to the success of its format in Asia and North America, we can for sure state that Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is the unique Italian trade exhibition with a true international mood”.

“In-depth analysis about market trends, conferences and events in support to the different channels of the beauty sector: Cosmetica Italia – The Personal Care Association confirms its partnership with BolognaFiere Cosmoprof on the occasion of the 50th edition of the show in Bologna. The appointment – states Fabio Rossello, President of Cosmetica Italia – The Personal Care Association – is even more significant considering that Cosmetica Italia celebrates its 50th anniversary too, with an intensive calendar of events. In Bologna, more specifically, the Association will communicate itself to the public in the Galleria Cavour (from 16th to 22nd March) thanks to an interactive installation dedicated to this sector and its many facets. Celebrations are accompanied by encouraging data: the global turnover of the beauty sector is increasing and, with a value of more than 10.5 billions euros and a positive impact of the export (+12%), it promises an equivalent increase for 2017, too”.

 

WHAT’S NEW AT COSMOPROF WORLDWIDE BOLOGNA 2017

To    celebrate    its    50th    edition,    Cosmoprof    Worldwide    Bologna    presents COSMOPRIME, a special area which will be open to visitors from March 16th to 19th, 2017, dedicated to retail companies from the   high-end mass market to prestige and niche perfumery.

With 151 exhibitors (81% coming from abroad) from 28 countries, COSMOPRIME meets the particular requirements    of     the     retail    sector    with    special    initiatives    with    an     international    impact. Extraordinary Gallery will host the latest beauty trends, with the most innovative companies and brands. Exhibitors from masstige perfumery sector will be able to show their products in a dedicated area called Premium Perfumery.

Among the most important initiatives, the first edition of Tones of Beauty, a project devoted to the multi-ethnic beauty, with cosmetic brands of “Black & Brown” products.

Within COSMOPRIME there will The Perfume Factory, "powered by Cosmopack" and in collaboration with Accademia del Profumo: the staging of a real supply chain of a perfume, from olfactory to maceration, from filtration to replenishment, cartoning and wrapping. Not-to-be-missed the workshops and panels of CosmoTalks, with a glimpse to the retail world and to the future of the beauty market.

COSMOPRIME will host the only International Buyer Lounge in Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2017, becoming an area with a strong B2B vocation. Cosmoprof and Cosmopack exhibitors will be able to meet brands and distributors specialized in the reference markets of cosmetic industry.

For 50 years Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has been the place where specialists of the beauty sector discover what’s new in the industry and the trends that will build the future of the market. To celebrate the 50th  anniversary, a special project, CosmoprofTrends, has been conceived: the trend agency Beautystreams will analyze the new products presented by the exhibiting companies, to find the most innovative elements that may be impactful for the market, creating a digital reference guide for the Cosmoprof Beauty Community.

Spotlights on the spa and wellness world, with a conference planned on 17 and 18 March in Bologna. Spa Symposium is part of a series of initiatives scheduled in collaboration with ISPA - International Spa Association, the reference association for spa and wellness professionals based in the United States.

SPA SYMPOSIUM IN COLLABORATION WITH ISPA will offer important moments of in- depth analysis and networking for international decision makers of the spa world. Nine industry leaders will share their experiences and know-how in a program packed with presentations. The sponsors of this event are: Black Pearl, Comfort Zone, ESPA, Noel Asmar Group, ResortSuite and Technogym.

Coming up, there will be interesting sessions held by Italian experts, to make an analysis on a national level. Marketing strategies, successful case histories and suggestions for training of spa managers will be some of the topics of the panels.

High expectations for the 8th edition of ON HAIR, the unique event for hairstylists who will attend the fair in Bologna. Once again talent, innovation and creativity of leading international hairstylists will be the protagonists.

On stage the teams of Class, Alter Ego, Mauro Galzignato for Kemon, Babyliss Pro, Tricologica, BH Salon, Matrix and Depot. Sunday, March 19 Estetica Master Parade by Cosmoprof will host the most famous hairdressers in the world with their unforgettable performances to celebrate Cosmoprof and its 50 years of beauty history and hairstyling evolution.

In collaboration with Camera Italiana dell’Acconciatura, HAIR RING keeps playing its role as  a  prestigious  showcase  for  young  talented  hairdressers.  For  the  50th   edition  of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, Saturday, March 18 the HAIR RING stage will become a “backstage onstage”: MEDITERRANEAN HAIR RING will bring to Bologna the looks from catwalks of Milano Moda Donna. In collaboration with Mediterranean Health & Beauty from Bari, the make-up artists Monica Zanelli and Roberta Larosa will perform on stage with 8 hairstylists from Camera Italiana dell’Acconciatura.

Bologna becomes the barbers’ world capital. Sunday, March 19 and Monday, March 20 Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will host the first international barbers gathering, UNITED BARBERS SHOW, organized in collaboration with the brands Sen Martin and Barber Mind. Excellence in training will be the central theme of the meeting, that will put the spotlight on a job which is achieving an increasing value not only in the United States and in the Northern Europe, but in Italy as well.

Cosmoprof will celebrate its 50th anniversary with the exclusive exhibition “50 ANNI BELLI”, organized in collaboration with Milano Fashion Library and Carlo Montanaro as supervisor. Through a selection of images edited by prestigious magazines, both from Italy and abroad, the show covers the changes of beauty, make-up and hairdressing across the decades, from 1960 till nowadays, with a reference to the most impactful social habits of each era.
