PLAN, BUILD, LIVE The three themed pathways for the 52nd edition of SAIE

Bologna, 07/10/2016

BolognaFiere 19th – 22nd October

Plan, build, live. These are the three themed pathways of the 52nd edition of SAIE, the International Exhibition for the construction sector, due to take place in Bologna from the 19thto the 22nd October. The three pathways will begin from the Service centre, the central area of the fair that will be exhibiting the most important innovations and the winners of the SAIE Innovation Awards, which enjoy the support of the Ministry of the Environment and the Protection of the Territory and the Sea. The division of the spaces has been devised in order to optimize the layout of the exhibition promoted by BolognaFiere for all of the production chain from the world of construction, with a strong focus on the latest developments in a sector that is experiencing rapid evolution.

The contents and the exhibition spaces of SAIE 2016 have been developed in close cooperation with the main associations from the sector ANCE (the national association of constructors), AGI (the Italian geotechnical association) AIST (the Italian technical software association), ANDIL (the national association for the brick industry), Assobeton (the national association for cement manufacturers), Conpaviper (the national association for flooring), Federbeton (the federation for the industry of cement and construction materials and connected technology) ISI (Italian Seismic Engineering), with whom the themes and instruments for in-depth examination have been developed for the companies and professionals from the sector.

PLAN is the pathway dedicated to the auxiliary instruments for planners, with a focus on technological software for specialists, from energy verification to the structural and seismic calculations, to geological mapping, housed in pavilions 32 and 33 of the Fair. In this area in particular are planned in-depth examinations on Building Information Modelling and the presentation of some libraries put together by companies, also in light of the recent modifications introduced to the Code for Tendering Contracts. The space, in addition to the All Digital Smart Building, is a reference point for the sector of professional installation, an exhibition project that has launched a new strategic objective: the technological updating of the national construction scenario and the integration between the spheres of construction and telecommunications.

BUILD is the pathway that provides an overview of the materials and equipment for production and construction, a pathway including technology for the new construction and infrastructure where themes relating to sustainability, site safety, prefabrication will be examined in addition to technologies for continuous flooring, seismic protection and structural consolidation to innovative tools for surveying, taking measurements and electronic surveying of buildings and territories with an extensive exhibition of drones. Within pavilion 25 of SAIE 2016 will be a wide selection of new technologies, intelligent materials dedicated to seismic protection, products and machines with low environmental impact. The Build pathway will continue also into Area 48 with the display of machines, site equipment and lifting devices that offer interesting developments for the market.

LIVE is the themed area dedicated to new sustainable and green technology for building requalification and energy refits. The pathway develops across pavilions 26 and 31. These spaces will host companies involved in wooden construction systems, systems of insulation, plants and building coverings, both traditional and high efficiency that relate to the European objectives for Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB). There will be a focus on the new models for sustainability and energy efficiency, the recuperation of existing buildings, urban regeneration and technologies to develop comfort, safety and innovation. A mix of business experience and innovative proposals in the field of sustainable building with spaces dedicated to bio-climatic aspects and seismic, acoustic and aesthetic qualities.

This is also the area that will deal with the vast subject of the condominium. A universe involving different skills and problems that involve many sectors: from building to systems, energy provision to security, accounting to the world of banking and insurance.

SAIE is at the centre of a large platform relating to construction that includes the eventsAccadueo (the reference fair in Italy for the sector or water services) Ambiente Lavoro (the only Fair event in Italy dedicated to health and safety at work), Expotunnel (the professional event for underground technologies and large projects), Smart City Conference (a collection of events dedicated to the smart city concept and the digitalization of the territory) and Saie 3(the international exhibition for the production chain of internal and external doors and windows). A mix of events of the highest quality representing and exploring the entire production chain for the construction sector in all of its many areas of specialization, enabling visitors to make direct contact with the leading professionals from each sector to share experience, knowledge and opinions about a market that is in constant evolution and that is increasingly oriented towards efficiency. The event focuses on the latest issues and those of common interest, such as sustainability and the circular economy.

On 18th October as part of the initiative SAIE 2016 the 24th CRESME Joint Report and Forecast will be presented offering a focus on the construction market over the next 5 years and making comparisons between 150 countries with a forecast for Italy and an analysis of building production, the scenarios for a new industrial policy for construction that should invest in seismic requalification, safeguarding against hydrogeological instability, energy technology, urban regeneration and new architecture.
