COSMOPACK, the exhibition dedicated to the supply chain in conjunction with Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, the leading international trade fair for the beauty world, organized by BolognaFiere Group, presents the third edition of Cosmopack International Business Forum & Exhibition, on May 11th and 12th, at the Spring Studios in Manhattan – New York.

Cosmopack International Business Forum & Exhibition offers to companies of the Made in Italy industry, recognized worldwide as an excellence of the beauty sector, a unique opportunity to meet American retailers and brands and to focus on new trends and technologies of the supply chain, thanks to the support of the Italian Ministry for Economic Development and ITA – Italian Trade Agency. The event counts on the collaboration of Cosmetica Italia – the personal care association and Polo Tecnologico della Cosmesi, and on the partnership with ICMAD and CEW.

“I AM A BEAUTY GURU!”

An incredible experience across the trends of the future: this is “I am a Beauty Guru!”, the special initiative launched by Cosmopack International Business Forum & Exhibition.

Elie Papiernik, Managing Partner and Art Director of Centdegrés, presents ”Tell me a story today! The talking Packaging”, focused on the potential of packaging as a new way to communicate and interact with consumers, conveying emotions.

Lan Vu, Founder and CEO di Beautystreams, leads “Multi-ethnic impact on color cosmetics”: how various regions around the world and multi-cultural consumers view color, and how this impacts the cosmetic industry.

Sam O’Donhaue is present as well: he is Founder and Art Director of ESTABLISHED New York, an American design studio specializing in product design for the most famous beauty brands, from Calvin Klein to Sephora, from LVMH to Estée Lauder and to Marc Jacobs; in 2015 ESTABLISHED New York received a Pentaward, the most important award dedicated to packaging for cosmetics, thanks to their bottle design for Marc Jacobs Mod Noir. O’Donhaue, thanks to his long expertise in the luxury market, presents “From Marc Jacobs to H&M: building a blockbuster cosmetics brand for a fashion house”; what it takes for each fashion brand to create a successful cosmetics product, from varying price analyses to the specific target.

COSMOPACK NEW YORK FORUM

Cosmopack Forum, dedicated to the latest trends of the beauty industry, lands on New York: two seminars focused on trends, market analyses, regulations and new products, with the contribute of prestigious experts, journalists, trade agencies, opinion leaders and brand managers. “Behind and beyond: unveiling the innovations from the beauty supply chain” deals on the future developments of formulation of products, colors trends and packaging, from the importance of green packaging to luxury packaging. The seminar is organized in collaboration with ICMAD, with the presence of the CEO and President of ICMAD, Pam Busiek. In the seminar there there is the participation of Maxwell Luthy, Director of Trends & Insights, international trade agency which collaborates with the major multi-national companies for innovation projects; Deanna Utroske, Senior Editor of CosmeticsDesign.com, specialized in ingredients, digital technologies, design and packaging; Leisle Sherr, author of “Material Innovation” and specialized in design.

The second seminar comes from the collaboration with Beautystreams, “Nature & Technology: challenges and opportunities for the beauty & packaging industries”. The roundtable, with Michael Nolte, Creative Director of BeautyStreams, as moderator, brings together leading American beauty industry experts to discuss their brands’ perspectives, and how to find a compromise between the demand for eco products and the industrial practices thanks to new technologies. Yana Liu, Innovation Manager of P&G; Jeanmarie Cakouros, Marketing Manager of BASF – We create Chemistry; Michelle Doan, CEO and Founder of Emani Cosmetics take part to the seminar.

THE MAKE UP ROOM

The relationship with fashion and trends is stressed by the first edition of The Make Up Room, which involves the companies attending the show in workshops with famous make-up artists, fashion photographers and art directors, to understand the impact of fashion trends on the industry. The first workshop, “Outstanding Beauty: Covering Techniques, optimizations through products, and innovation through nuances”, is dedicated to outstanding beauty make up; the second seminar, “Grow your glam – A journey behind the scenes of the most acclaimed fashion week and the nuances that lead to top printed editorials” focuses on an impactful editorial make up, more artistic and theatrical, enhancing the importance of nuances, quality and techniques.

The Make Up Room, in collaboration with FTL MODA – New York Fashion Week, hosts Suzanna Hallili and Victor Noble, make-up artists; Elio Nogueira, photographer for important fashion magazines such as Vogue, L’Officiel, Harpers’ Bazaar; the hair stylist Matt Fugate and Pablo Patané, art director of FTL MODA. The top model Yun Gao and Stacey Farne are attending as well.

VISIONNAIRE

Cosmopack International Business Forum&Exhibition hosts in New York a special exhibition: Visionnaire 0.2.

Organized in collaboration with Chromavis, Italian contract manufacturer for make-up, Visionnaire 0.2 is a gallery consisting of objects, words, colors and prints that want to leave space to the imagination of who takes part of it and open the possibility to new future analyses of 6 specific items…. "6 icons for Millennial".

INNOVATION CIRCLE

Great attention is paid on innovation, thanks to Innovation Circle, dedicated to new products presented by exhibiting companies, which have already received the important awards of The Wall – the avant garde edition during Cosmopack Bologna. This initiative is the proof of the value that Cosmopack gives to innovation and research for the future development of the beauty industry.
